48th Shizuoka Hobby Show 2009 Report (6) 20th Modeler's Club Exhibition 2009

The Shizuoka hobby show is one of the biggest hobby (plastic model, rail transport modelling, RC, cap gun, toy etc...) trade fair held in Shizuoka Japan in May every year since 1959. The host organization is Shizuoka model teaching materials cooperative (Tamiya, Aoshima, Hasegawa). It is now being watched with interest by hobby traders and fans in the world.
48th Shizuoka hobby show 2009 was held May 14 -17 in Twin Messe Shizuoka. 82 companies participated in this trade fair, and so many new products were exhibited this time.
My friend Mr. Yamanobe went to there and took a lot of photos. I report this hobby show with his photos.

20th Modeler's Club Exhibition 2009
Modellers Club Exhibition is one of the biggest combination exhibition held with Shizuoka Hobby Show. So many model circles participate in there every year. This exhibition reach the 20th by this year since 1990, and it became the largest class modelers exhibition in the world. This time, 161 circles participated in there from the all over Japan, Korea and Taiwan. This entry was a record high. About 5,000 or more model works of each circles gathered in the Twin Messe Shizuoka.

Outdoor Exhibition
The Dekotora (decoration truck) and IGSDF trucks was exhibited in the outdoor space of twin Messe Shizuoka.
Yukamaru the second generation
Yukamaru the second generation is the Dekotora in the play of Japanese movie series "Eagle of the Dekotora". It is copied from the Toei movie series "Truck Yarou (Truck Guy)" which was popular in Japan in 1970's.
Ryuko Kannon
Ryuko Kannon is the Dekotora in the play of Toei movie "Truck Yarou, Nerve Ichiban-Boshi" in 1977.

The State of Hobby Show
That day it had looked like rain, but the number of the guests exceeded last year. According to the announcement by Tamiya, the number of the visitors surpassed 80,000 people. This event came to an end with great success.
The street was a great traffic jam. Signboard of 48th Shizuoka Hobby show 2009 People lined up in front of the gate.
