48th Shizuoka Hobby Show 2009 Report (3) Fujimi

The Shizuoka hobby show is one of the biggest hobby (plastic model, rail transport modelling, RC, cap gun, toy etc...) trade fair held in Shizuoka Japan in May every year since 1959. The host organization is Shizuoka model teaching materials cooperative (Tamiya, Aoshima, Hasegawa). It is now being watched with interest by hobby traders and fans in the world.
48th Shizuoka hobby show 2009 was held May 14 -17 in Twin Messe Shizuoka. 82 companies participated in this trade fair, and so many new products were exhibited this time.
My friend Mr. Yamanobe went to there and took a lot of photos. I report this hobby show with his photos.

1/500 IJN Battleship Yamato (under development)
Surprise item of Fujimi for this event. The developed of 1/500 Yamato was conducted in strict secrecy by Fujimi. The exhibits were the rapid prototyping and test shot parts of hull. Release date is on this autumn.

1/24 New Fiat 500 (May Release / HLJ)
Long-awaited new Fiat 500 plastic model kit was released at last!
- 1.4 Italian specification
- Engine less, left-hand drive
- MT, normal roof
- Front and rear bumpers are separated from the body.
1/24 Ferrari Dino 206 GT (June Release / HLJ)
The product name was changed in "206 GT" from "206 Competizione ".
1/20 McLaren Honda MP4/6 (July Release / HLJ)
Recent Fujimi often releases a crazy product. This McLaren MP4/6 is also one of them. This model has so many parts and great detail like a 1/12 Tamiya MP4/6 model. Optional parts sets are released from third parties.

1/24 Chara de-CAR-L Series
"Chara de CAR-L" is a brand name of Itasha (Character Printed Car) from Fujimi, because Aoshima acquired trademark rights of the word "Itasha". "Chara" is an abbreviation of "Character". "de CAR-L" is a coinage that unites "decal" to "car". "Chara de CARL" is a collaborated project with Fujimi and Kotobukiya.

Hato Bus is a periodical sightseeing bus in Tokyo. Bus Musume (girl) is the cutie bus tour guide figure series from Tomytec. This series is a collaborated project with Fujimi and Tomytec.
